The original. The one everything else is based on.
The cable chain is the most classic chain construction in jewelry and it has held that title for a very long time because nothing has managed to improve on it. Simple oval links connected one to the next in an alternating pattern, clean and open and endlessly wearable. It is the chain your mother probably had one of. It is also the chain showing up on every jewelry mood board right now. It does not need trends to validate it because it predates all of them.
This version has a slightly more substantial link than a delicate everyday chain, which gives it a presence you can actually see while still being completely lightweight and comfortable to wear. Each link is smooth and polished and catches the light with every movement in that satisfying way that makes you glance down at your own neck. It has a confident simplicity to it that works equally well on its own and as the base for a charm stack.
If the rope chain is the delicate one, this is the one with a little more to say. Still understated, just slightly bolder about it. Both are right depending on the day and the look and honestly most people end up wanting one of each.

A note on "waterproof" jewelry from me, your jewelry designer: You have probably seen brands throw around the word "waterproof" and wondered if it is actually true. As someone who has worked in jewelry for years, I do not think any jewelry is truly 100% waterproof. What I can tell you is that stainless steel with PVD coating is as close as it gets. It is the material people are talking about when they say waterproof jewelry. Shower in it, sweat in it, live your life in it. It is made to keep up with you.
